Wood-look tile, plank and tile floors installed flat, tight and level through whole houses — in Tampa and all around it.
The floor is the one surface in the house you're in contact with every single day, and it's the fastest thing to give away a rushed job — a dip you feel through your socks, a tile that rocks slightly underfoot, a seam between rooms that never lines up. Wood-look tile and plank flooring have become the go-to in Tampa Bay for a reason: they hold up to humidity and pets and daily traffic the way real wood and carpet don't.
A lot of the older block homes we work in around St. Petersburg and Clearwater still have whatever went down decades ago — original terrazzo under carpet, cracked vinyl, tile that was never installed level to begin with. We install whole-house flooring and single-room jobs, and either way the floor underneath gets checked before anything new goes down on top of it.
Before any flooring goes down, we check the substrate for high spots, low spots and cracks, because flooring installed over an uneven floor telegraphs every flaw within a year — a hollow-sounding tile, a plank that clicks when you step on it, a line where two rooms don't meet flush. Self-leveling compound and proper prep take time that doesn't show in the finished floor, but it's what keeps that floor flat five years from now instead of six months from now.
Layout gets planned before the first piece is cut — where the seams fall, which direction the planks run, how the pattern carries from room to room so hallways and open floor plans read as one continuous floor instead of a patchwork of rooms. Old flooring removal, leveling, and the install itself all happen in that order for a reason.
We measure the space and check the existing floor for what's underneath it before quoting the job.
Old flooring comes out and the substrate is leveled so nothing new is installed over a dip or a crack.
Layout is planned first, then flooring is set to that plan so seams and transitions land where they should.
Grout, transitions and trim go in last, and floors are cleaned before we walk the job with you.
Tampa Bay is several housing eras at once — a 1950s block ranch in St. Pete, a 90s two-story in Brandon and a brand-new Riverview build each remodel differently, and we work in all of them.
