Outdoor Kitchens & Lanais in Tampa Bay

In most of the country, the backyard is outdoor space six months a year. In Tampa Bay it's usable almost all twelve, which is why an outdoor kitchen or a lanai isn't a luxury add-on here — it's the room a lot of families actually live in most. One of the outdoor kitchens in our photos sits poolside under a slat-wood ceiling, and that's the kind of space we build: somewhere you'd actually choose to cook and sit over the indoor alternative.

A screened patio or an old lanai that's just been sitting there half-used is often the fastest way to add real living space to a house without touching the footprint. We build outdoor kitchens, lanais and screened enclosures from the ground up, and we refresh or extend the ones that are already there but not being used the way they could be.

An outdoor kitchen has to survive rain, sun and salt air in a way an indoor one never has to, so materials get chosen for that — counters, cabinetry and finishes that hold up to being outside year-round instead of ones that look right for the first summer and then fade or warp. Layout gets planned around how you'd actually use it — grill, prep space, seating — not just what fits against the house.

For lanais and screened patios, the framing has to handle Florida weather too, and screening gets set so it's tight and clean at the corners instead of sagging within a year.
